ひさしぶりですね

I'm trying to be a good kid by scheduling out time for my summer school-related stuff, even though I reallllyy don't want to.

I decided to read 3 chapters of my summer reading each day. I read my 3 chapters on the first day I decided (Monday), but then I didn't read any more chapters for the next two days, probably either because Lauren B and Callie came over to sleepover and stayed until about 6pm the next day or that's just what always happens, my following a schedule only on day 1, haha. I read 3 chapters today, though, and was able to actually understand most of it (Wuthering Heights) because I totally was not able to understand the earlier chapters.

I also plan on studying for the October Math II SAT every Thursday. I know, so nerdy, but I really need to refresh myself on Pre-cal, since a lot of it is Pre-cal, while I still have it sort of fresh in my mind, even though I've already forgotten like, all of it ever since I was exempt from the end-of-year exam, haha. Plus, I won't really have another chance to retake it if I screw up on it, since I plan on applying early decision to NYU and applications are due early November. So I reallyy need to do well on this and feel confident about it so I won't have to worry about doing badly. Plus, I probably won't have time during school anyway, so I might as well do a lot of it when I actually have free time.

Gahhh, college apps are coming up... I'm growing up so fast. ):

I've decided to apply to NYU's Stern as an International Business/Marketing major and possibly a Producing minor under Tisch. :/ How much extra work will that be, having sort of a double major along with a minor? It better not keep me from graduating in 4 years. ):<
LOL, so I went to the all-knowing Yahoo! Answers and people were saying that it really depended on the school and the fields you were studying. One of the people actually completed a double major and minor in 4 years. Luckkyy. I really wanna be out in 4 years... 4年で終わりたいね。。。

I also really wanted to do an East Asian Languages/Culture something but I can't fit it in... ): I could minor in it but that would mean I'd have to take out Producing and.. aghhhh, わかんない。。 That's why I was also sort of considering entering Gallatin because that's where you can kind of create your own major, but the thing about me is that I kind of need guidance to get somewhere if it's something new for me, like college. I don't know much about the college system, so I don't know if I create my own major by choosing what classes I should take that I'll be choosing the proper classes and such. I'm really not good as an independent person until I'm fully adjusted. D: I suck.

Go again.

買い物した!

After dropping off Christina at her friend's house, I decided to go to the mall to buy some new clothes since a new school year is coming up and all and I can't go back to school with the same exact wardrobe as last year! :o LOL, I'm such a girl.

I didn't know that the new iPhone went on sale today so I was really surprised to see a long line of people that stretched outside leading into the Apple store. D: There was a nice man who handed out water bottles to everyone in line too! Haha, they're all in it together, huh.

A few new stores opened up since I last went. All I remember that I had never seen before were the G by Guess store and the Nomads store. I really like Nomads! Everything in there is like vintage-ish which is nice. I bought two wooden bracelets from there because I wanted to accessorize. My last year's attempt to accessorize kinda died out of laziness. D: My being tardy to first period everyday made it hard to add anything to my outfit for that day.

Before, I used to think wandering the mall by yourself was really sad but I guess I like shopping by myself better than with people because I can stay in whatever store I want for however long I want and go to whichever store I want to. My shoulders really hurt right now though for being out for 4 hours (not only being at the mall though) and carrying my bag on it. I totally forgot to take out my notebook and magazines before leaving so I had that whole load to carry everywhere. DDDD:

I want to start reading for fun again. I remember doing so in my middle school days and it was fun but now I'm really picky about my books. ): I find a lot of things really cheesy or whatnot so I basically can't read anything. I guess I'll have to just suck it up and read some teenage romance novel then. :|
But I can't really do so right now because I have the super-thick summer reading books I must read. )):

Yesterday, I did a practice Math 2 SAT and I got a 690 on it. Haha, what a joke; that was me not reviewing anything and doing it with the knowledge I already had (which meant more than half of what I learned was forgotten). Surely enough I totally forgot how to do a ton of simple things, like matrices and completing the square, but I still managed to do decent on it. Basically that means if I study, I won't have any trouble on the real thing, given that I remember everything I study.

10/25. Well, I obviously don't watch enough movies, or if anything, I don't contribute to box-office sales that much. Going to the movies these days is so expensive though. ): $9.25 a ticket isn't my treat, especially when the food there is just as expensive. DD: Oh well, probably because movie technology is expensive too. I need to watch more movies. :|

I watched Hancock last week expecting something huge to happen in the movie because of the "controversy" behind the movie but I fell asleep during a few minutes of it and when I woke up, something big did sort of happen, but it wasn't that big of a deal to me. After finishing the movie, I was like WTF because I didn't find anything ~*controversial*~ about the movie at all, so I went online to look up what the commotion was all about and it turns out to be SPOILER the girl secretly being superhuman like Hancock. :O Shocker. Not. I kind of expected something like that to happen though. I guess the controversy was that something like that was kind of expected so it didn't really make that a great movie or something, since Hancock was looked upon as probably the next awesome movie or something. :/ And I thought the controversy was going to be something religious since the girl's name was Mary. D: Overall, it was an alright movie, I guess. It was funny at parts and such. Not sure if I'd be soo excited to watch it again and whatnot. :/ Everything was pretty cool though. It wasn't a bad movie.

I had planned on watching movies this summer so I could be somewhat knowledgeable about movies but that idea only lasted a week, as usual. I watched 27 Dresses, Juno, Hairspray, and She's the Man during that time. I wanted to watch Sweeney Todd also but redbox asked if I was 18 since it was rated R and I kind of freaked so I didn't rent it. Someone said there was gore in it too so that's kind of scaring me because I don't like gore. ): I'm wondering if it's crappy gore though. IDK. IRIS, PLZ WATCH IT WITH MEEEE. ))):
I shall watch Pulp Fiction and Moulin Rouge this week. =D Aw, crap, Pulp~ is rated R for graphic violence and sexual content. DDDD: graphic violence... Even though I can legally watch it, I've never tried renting R movies because when I have, Blockbuster said I had to be 18 to rent. DD: I need to step it up a bit yo and not be so scared!

7-13-08 family night lol

In other news, Mommy, Christina, Cindy, and I just played Mah-jong earlier. The four of us have never played together and most of us hadn't played in like, a year or so. DD: I still remembered how to play so clearly. LOL, YAY FOR GAMBLING. In the end, I had the most "money". :D I love how our money is represented by Yu-gi-oh cards and how we had to snag our dice from the Spiderman Monopoly game. :Dv Ah, family night.

*edit! New layout btw~ I don't know how to freakin' change the colors of the actual tagboard message section!! DD< I've been browsing through Tabulas for like, an hour trying to figure out how I did it last time. Sigh.

Where to go

Darn it. If I don't freakin' make it into NYU, I don't know what I'm gonna do because no other school fits my needs of:

DDDDD: I'm really stuck. I hate it when people are all like, "You don't have to worry. You'll get in!" because they're being too freakin' optimistic about it, or just plain nice, since you're not gonna tell someone, "Haha, that's true, you're not gonna get into your ~*dream school*~". I'm not being pessimistic though because I've been thinking and there is the chance I might not get in, like what if they look at the classes I'm taking this year and think I'm slacking off because I'm taking 2 off periods? IT'S BECAUSE FREAKIN' ELKINS DOESN'T OFFER ANY OTHER GOOD COURSES SO I'M STUCK WITH 5. IF THEY WOULD FREAKIN' STEP UP THEIR PSYCH COURSE, I WOULD TAKE IT. OR MAYBE NOT HAVE EVERY DECENT CLASS 5TH PERIOD WHERE YOU BASICALLY HAVE TO CHOOSE WHICH ONE YOU REALLLYY WANT TO TAKE.

Everyone's gonna get mass phone calls from me if I actually get in. Like, if you don't answer right away, I will keep calling you until you pick up. Just wait for it.
And if I don't get in, yall are gonna get mass phone calls from me crying to yall. D: So I think yall'd rather have a quick screaming phone call from me rather than a long crying one. Help wish me in, guys!

I said I was gonna apply to Columbia but unfortunately, no International Business major there. No business education at all as a matter of fact. I might just apply anyway but if I get in, then I have no freakin' idea what the heck I would major in there. Liberal arts major here I come... (but an upside to Columbia is that they offer a full year study abroad program at Waseda! :o)

I really wanna visit NYU and Columbia sometime soon but first of all, Daddy planned this tour thing for the whole family to visit Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.. D: And then Mommy thinks visiting colleges is a waste anyway because I'm "only going to be living there for 4 years". WTF?? ONLY 4 YEARS? That's freakin' 4 years on my own, more than 1600 miles away from home. If I realize that I don't like the environment and have already paid the money and everything, I'm totally gonna suffer for 4 years when I actually had a choice not to. I told her this and she was all like, "Life's tough. You can't like everything." OMFGGGGG. When you have a choice to go where you want, you might as well freakin' take advantage of it and find somewhere you ACTUALLY WANT TO GO. I need to talk to Daddy about this when he gets back. =|

「朝はくるから~」- AP scores

Damn. First of all, I'm supposed to read 3 chapters of Wuthering Heights, but instead, I decided to have fun at Iris's with her, Melinda, and Tiffany. D: We talked about colleges and watched The Illusionist. LOL, intellectuals~

Secondly, I'm a delayed one, so I got my AP scores today... See how it's a dot-dot-dot ending that sentence instead of an excited exclamation point!

US History 4
Chemistry 4
English Lang 3

Poor English Lang AP. Can't use that for college, sigh.

LOLLL NEVER MIND. I just checked the NYU site for AP credits and they don't even freakin' take the English Lang AP!! They only accept the English Lit AP! LOL YESSSSS. Better for me. :DD So they should just like, not look at it. :DV

Hey, and even though they don't take the Calc AP, if I take it and score at least a 4, I can be placed in a higher math class, but I'd still have to take the required amount of math classes. I just don't have to take the first one. Yeahhh. Everyone knows I can own anything that comes to math. And there's still no freakin' way I'm taking the Eco AP.

Now, I'm kind of excited to start applying for colleges and getting back results but still kind of anxious about it.. I really need to stop thinking about thisss.. ):

Theatre events are coming up and I'm required to go since I'm an officer for next year, and gahhh, I'm so nervous! I'm always nervous when I'm put in a leadership position, even though I'm the one who kind of asked for it, sort of. Well, being stage manager was a role that was asked of me and I decided to take it on because I thought it'd be cool. Now I'm going to be taking on more. The reason I'm so nervous about these things is because I'm afraid of people thinking of me as incompetent. A lot of the time, I don't feel like I'm doing things right or directing things properly. If I'm going to be a leader, I want to be a good leader.

I don't really see myself as a powerful person, but I've been trying to be so maybe, subconsciously, I made myself get these positions for that reason.

I want to change things and do more than just lead a group of people. I'm trying to think of a way to add more to English Honor Society than the little it already is, but what I'm thinking about would be hard to put together and the members would probably not see the point in it because our EHS doesn't even have any penalty for not completing credits. They're just "not a good-standing member". D: They're probably still allowed to tell people they're an EHS member so they don't really care or try. So adding more activities to do would be pretty pointless because there's no point system or hours system (which I totally am not going to add because lol, face it, no one wants to do more hours than they already have to do).

It's hard thinking up new ideas. :/

LIBERATION FEELS GREAT

I HAVE OFFICIALLY QUIT MY DETESTED JOB AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS!

Everyone who I text has already gotten an all-caps message about this. =D Ah, I feel so free now.

Now that I think about it though, is it that I didn't like working there, or is it that I just don't like working altogether? It would really suck if it was the latter because I just quit a paying job... Oh well, I got an application from Javioca a couple of weeks back, so I'll apply there later. Hopefully it'll be nicer working there. =)

Yesterday was Christina's and my No Computer Day. DD; Haha, that was some torture for us. We randomly designate these throughout the year to give us something else to do instead of destroying our eyes or to keep ourselves on the actual task we need to accomplish, in this case, summer reading.

Christina ended up only reading like, a few pages, but I read quite a lot! I now have 4 chapters of Wuthering Heights left to read! :O Partly because last night, for some reason it was just impossible for me to fall asleep! I accidentally fell asleep while reading Wuthering at around 10:30 pm, but then I woke up at 1:30-ish because my scalp was all itchy, since I had fallen asleep without a shower. I woke up, as sleepy as I was, to take a shower, but after I finished showering, I was wide awake again.. So I decided to have some late night snacks while reading Wuthering to spend my time well. In the middle of that though, I attempted to kill a cockroach that's been in our house for weeks but was never catch-able! I got the Raid and sprayed it, but I think it got out of the way just in time because it ran away and I never found it again. ): I read more Wuthering until I decided I should stop, partly because I didn't really wanna read anymore anyway, haha.

I was not able to fall asleep until about 4:30 am. I have no idea what happened. Waking up early this morning to send Christina to driver's ed was horrible. DD;

I also cleaned out my trashcan finally yesterday! :D It was overflowing sooo much.. oops. I also stitched up random hole-d clothing and started making a tanktop. Totally harder than I thought... D:

Dudeee, yesterday I got a letter saying that I still had 3 textbooks out and I had to pay $100+ for them!!! D< OK WTF. This freakin' happened last year, them saying that I still had textbooks out but me srsly remembering turning them in. I was so mad that this was happening again EVEN THOUGH they said they would make sure it wouldn't happen again. See, this is how incompetent Elkins is. Sigh. I went to the school this morning to show them my receipt of my turned-in books and right away, they cancelled my fines! :o Easier than I thought! I guess the proof was enough. I was afraid I had to totally prove all the way or something intense.

Quitting BWW was also soo much easier than I thought. I was just like, "Can I quit?" and they were like, "Okay." Like, right away. LOL, what? So I repeated my question and they gave me the same answer. I was like, "Dang, that was easy." This was what I was afraid of the whole time? Hm. I'm glad today's problems were so easily solved! I feel so relieved.

Go again.

I like everyone because I don't like someone...?

Yesterday, I was discussing dramas and Johnny's with Lauren B and I realized I flail over too many asian guys. D: I will now make a list to see how many there actually. Hold on tight.

Note: I'm not completely shallow, so yes, most of these have been flailed over because of looks, but some of them are because they're actually flail-worthy~

  1. Probably almost every Johnny's because they have a special place in my heart being my fandom.
  2. Oguri Shun
  3. Matsuda Shota - After LIAR GAME, he's been pretty cool with me. His character in Bara no Nai Hanaya too!
  4. Mizushima Hiro *________*♥♥♥♥~
  5. Hayami Mocomichi - sexy.
  6. Mizobata Junpei - He's actually one of the ones who captured me with their ~*personality*~. Haha. It was after watching Waratte Iitomo and every other clip I could find with him.
  7. Miura Haruma ♥♥♥!! I even have his photobook. XD
  8. Maeda Goki - Actually this was pretty recent. It was more like, now. XDD
  9. Tsukamoto Takashi
  10. Tamayama Tetsuji
  11. Kitamura Kazuki - Sooo slick in Bambino! yo. Could not resist.
  12. Abe Hiroshi - LOLLLL. He is amazing.
  13. Wakaba Ryuuya - OK, so many people fell in love with him after Tantei Gakuen Q. Such a cutie.
  14. Kazuki from Ruvie - Um. I'm shallow. XD It was just from this one picture.
  15. Kyou Nobuo - He's my "relative"! :D
  16. Narimiya Hiroki
  17. Tamaki Hiroshi
  18. Koide Keisuke
  19. Fujiki Naohito
  20. Tachibana Keita

Hey, not bad! I left out the people that I think are cool because I think a ton of people are cool. These are actually the ones that I've searched for other dramas with them, etc. People who I actually obsessed over somewhat, who I'd actually watch a drama for. These are only Japanese guys though. The Korean list should be pretty short.

  1. Jang Geun Suk
  2. Daniel Henney
  3. Taemin
  4. Jonghyun
  5. Donghae
  6. Sungmin
  7. Ryu (Battle)
  8. TOP

I usually don't discuss fandom-related things here, but I had just posted at my LJ, so I wasn't gonna double-post. =/

My nails have gotten pretty long, I've noticed. I haven't really bothered to trim them at all. I just messed with them now though, so they're a bit shorter.

BTW, this song I'm listening to, I've been listening to on repeat. The background music is so catchy. I just bob my head to it in the beginning when it loops back. Plus, I totally have not bothered with summer reading after finishing Wuthering Heights. DD: I don't want to read required books anymoreee.. ):

2 more time(s).

IS VERY BORED

I mean, I could be doing more productive things instead of staying on the computer trying to find something to do when there obviously isn't. But I eventually found a meme on Riss's LJ! :D Memes were invented for people like me, who want to stay on the computer but can't find a reason to, and this is our reason to.

Things I'm Not Doing:

Those are probably more productive ways of using my time, but this week I've just been really lazy that I'd really rather not. D: I did watch a movie last night, National Treasure 2! That was somewhat productive because I wanted to have seen more movies.. It wasn't that bad. It was really similar to the first one, the way everything went, Gates figuring out where to go next from the most obscure clues. I liked that SPOILER the "bad guy" turned good at the end. Even though that's a cheesy Disney twist, I really wanted that to happen here because I'm tired of bad people being bad. )): This was my break from reality. :) Overall, people told me that it wasn't as good as the first one, but I thought it was about the same.

Daddy, Anthony, and Annie came back from China last night! Anthony is as cuteeeee as always. (: He's so lively he freakin' pulled an all-nighter. It was impossible for me to sleep because I kept hearing him playing around throughout intervals. DD;

In about half an hour, I'ma go watch The Dark Knight! :D Then I'm heading to Bravos for the AP Chemistry reunion. LOL. AP Chem was just that awesome.

Now, here's the meme of boredom from Iris:

If you're gonna go out, go out with a bang?
Of course.

Do you tend to rip the paper off waterbottles?
Not really. I find that kind of annoying actually.

If the mob was after you, what would you do?
Run, scream, and cry, all at the same time.

When you shut off your alarm clock, do you tend to fall back asleep?
I don't shut off my alarm clock. I just let it ring loudly for the whole house to hear while I sleep through it. I shut it off after I've actually finished all my morning stuff. College roommate's gonna have to deal with that. :Dv

If you were given the chance to take care of a monkey for a weekend, would you?
I would turn down the offer. I actually find it troublesome to take care of things. D:

What are you looking forward to in the next few months?
Hopefully new people in my classes and fun classes? ):

When will you turn 18?
Next year.

If you were being chased by an alligator, what would you do?
Run, scream, and cry, all at the same time.

How many pillows are on your bed?
Two. Apparently, most people don't have double beds. D: HOW DO YALL SLEEP COMFORTABLY??

What song are you currently listening to?
"Prisoner of Love" by Utada Hikaru

Have you ever passed out from drinking?
I don't drink and don't ever plan on it.

If you caught a significant other cheating on you, what would you do?
Cry myself to sleep. I'm not that strong of a person.

What time did you wake up this morning?
11:30 am exactly! That's actually an accomplishment.

Do you have any cousins?
Yeah.

Can you imagine yourself living in a cardboard box?
I've never thought about it, but I really can't live without Internet access and food, so unless the cardboard box has that stuff, no, I can't imagine myself in that situation.

Who was the last person you talked to?
Christina.

What is the WORST subject they teach at school?
At MY school? Um, many subjects.

Where do you plan on living when you grow up?
Now that I think of it, I really have no idea. I don't know if I'll be adjust anywhere other than here in Sugar Land, where I've lived a good remainder of my life. :/ Christina thinks I'll end up living in Asia because I basically breath Asia everyday.

What was your dream this morning?
...I don't remember.

How many times have you seen your favorite movie?
3-4 times?

Where was the last place you traveled?
LA, Cali.

How was your past weekend?
Alright. I went to a Theater get-together on Sunday and swam.

If puppies stayed small forever, would you buy one?
Like I said before, I'd prefer not to have to take care of something...

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
It really depends on the brand. For Blue Bell, it's Butter Pecan. For that ice cream place in Chinatown that I haven't been to since elementary, their Orange Sherbert was delicious. :9

Ever like someone that you didn't think you stood a chance with?
I really don't stand a chance with someone who already has a girlfriend he loves to death.

Is someone on your mind right now?
No. My brain has been mush this summer.

Can you say the alphabet backwards?
Yeah.

Would you ever change for a boy/girl?
I might, subconsciously? I wouldn't do it on purpose.

Pro-life or Pro-choice?
Pro-choice.

Have you ever been on stage?
Yes. Um, I'm a stage manager.

Can you whistle?
Not really.

Would you do anything for that special someone?
It depends what "anything" means for that special someone.. D:

Do you know who Stewie Griffin is?
The little kid from Family Guy?

Can you say you've never cheated in a relationship?
LOL, yeah, since I've never been in a relationship.

Do you hangout with more guys or girls?
Girls.

Why?
Because the guys that I'm currently friends with, even if I hung out with them, it's only 3 guys, and I have way more friends that are girls.

Have you ever thought a friend could be more than a friend?
I'm not sure if he was my friend at the time... He (they) became a friend later.

What did your last text say?
"Oh we're sneaking drinks in? Then i guess we'll meet at dulce at 3 then?" - LOL, in reference to the movies for today.

Do you like the beach?
Eh. Beaches are nice, I guess.

What color is your toothbrush?
Teal?

What makes you laugh?
Good comedy dramas. And Will & Grace and Friends.

Are you ticklish?
Not particularly. I think there's some point where you could get me ticklish.

Have you ever been in a hotel room with your friends/opposite sex?
Yes, but it was for a school-sponsored trip so nothing dirty.

Go again.

is leaving tomorrow

I'm off for another week of vacation tomorrow, this time with the family. We're visting the landmarks of the west, Yellowstone and Grand Canyon and such. I hope we somewhat stop by Cali at one point though, somewhere in Cali that has a Kino at least, since I haven't added new magazines to my collection recently. ): Fang had bought me 3 magazines from Taiwan, but he lost the whole carry-on that had them at LAX and didn't have any forms of communication attached to the bag, so it's lost forever. ))):

I could bring my laptop, but I decided not to because being on the computer too much isn't really good. :/ I still haven't done anything on that list of things I haven't been doing... I guess I could somewhat get some summer reading in during the trip... I did somewhat work on a tanktop I was making. I'm almost done, except I'm scared of the poofiness of the back. It's been coming along nicely though, which is good. :)

Fifteen years ago I...
I was 2. I have no recollection whatsoever of that age, but I know I was living in an apartment with a swimming pool outside of it. I was my parents' first child, so I bet I was a bundle of joy for them.. :D?

Ten years ago I...
I was 7. I was in second grade, and I had just moved from my small house in Houston to Sugar Land and was attending a new school, Walker Station. I was really shy, but everyone was really nice to me. My teacher told me I was a good artist.

Five years ago I...
I was 12. I was in 7th grade and had started becoming good friends with the AHS people I still keep in contact with now. The twins, I somewhat knew from 6th grade, but I started sitting with them at lunch, I think, which led to the rest of the people, Linda, Tiffany, etc. Were we making fun of Nick Adams?

Two years ago I...
I was 15 and had just moved from New Territory to Riverstone. I now had to attend another new school, Elkins, and I hated hated hated it. 15 was my super emo age. I don't think I talked to anyone. I didn't care about anything anymore. I discovered JE, though, and it became my life.

One year ago I...
I turned 16 with no notice of it, since I hadn't celebrated it. I entered Junior Year, and I suddenly became social and made lots of noise and lots of new friends.

Yesterday I...
I woke up late as usual, bought Panera Bread for the kids for lunch, learned to create a karaoke video, went to Red Lobster for dinner with Daddy's clients, and started a new drama, Trick 1.

Today I...
I am hungry at the moment because for lunch, I had a couple of Chik-fil-A chicken nuggets from the Thespians Officers meeting at noon. I drove Cindy to the eye doctors' so that she could pick up her glasses and then dropped out Noone at Iris's for her to take care of while the family's gone. I then packed and surprisingly, I have a lot more space in my suitcase left.

Tomorrow I...
I will board a plane to Wyoming, I believe? Hopefully, IAH doesn't delay us, and we have a nice landing and a nice dinner there.

Next week I...
I will return home, sleep to make up for lack of it during the trip, catch up on all my dramas, and attend the Thespians Clean-up on Friday.

Next year I...
I will be 18, which means much will be expected of me, because I will be a legal adult. I will be graduating from high school. I will be going to college, hopefully NYU, preparing myself for a new life, an independent life, a new world, a future. I will be saying goodbye to everyone here, if accepted into NYU, and will have to move and adjust again, as I did 10 years ago and 2 years ago. Ah, how life changes.

2 more time(s).
