Thanksgiving week
*edit: Yes, the pictures mess up the layout. Live with it. I'm too lazy to mess with it.
Okay, I really need to get inspired to write for my Hamlet essay that's due tomorrow (I know, crap.), so let's get my writing muscles churning. :D
My Thanksgiving week started last Wednesday after school, since I was heading off to the Thespian State Festival in Fort Worth! :D The three day trip was fun, filled with plays and a few workshops (to our dismay :(), but we were tired for a lot of it, lol, resulting in many breaks. Unfortunately, I planned around some play marathons, which ended up being not so good... to my dismay. :( The musicals were amazing though. I have this newfound passion for Sweeney Todd, lol.
Sunday - Spent the WHOLE day cleaning my room. D:

Amazingly, it is still clean. :D I'm trying to be organized. Let's see how long this lasts now.
I also worked on UT apps late at night. My goal was to submit them that night, but I failed because I didn't know anything about our family's finances. :(
Monday - I went to watch Madagascar 2 with the little ones, Anthony and Annie. I really liked the movie. Made me laugh and tear up a bit as well. D: lol

Submitted my UT apps that evening! Success! because all of the apps are submitted. :)
Tuesday - Played football in the afternoon with Kenny, Caleb, Micky, Lauren B, Courtney, Lisa, and Fang. I got to be QB for a few plays! :D
Then Kenny, Caleb, Callie, Lauren B, and Keli came over and we headed off to Kona Grill for dinner (happy hour!) and then karaoke! It was half-off. :O I was ecstatic about that.

We went back to my house and they stayed there for an hour, just wondering what to do. D: I realized that I don't know what to do to hang out anymore. :/
Wednesday - Was supposed to meet at Tiffany's old house at 2:30, but she was running late, so I ended up playing Brawl with Linda for a while. :D Tiffany did join us later. We headed over to her house after an hour and played Wii Sports, which baseball resulted in a sore arm for me for 2 days. D: lol. Then we went to Potbelly to see Carolyn and Kathryn at work! :D

Afterwards, I went over to Lauren B's to bake Claudia's birthday cake! :] We ended up watching the South Park movie and Sweeney Todd! :D
Thursday - Thanksgiving! I was looking forward to a nice big Thanksgiving feast, but it ended up being at 4pm. Um. When we had just had lunch 3 hours earlier at 1pm. I refused to eat so early. :| I did Gov homework, woot? At 5:30, I rushed to Lauren B's to finish frosting Claudia's cake and bring it over to her house for a surprise. LOL, we were totally strapped for time because we had to get there before 6pm. We made it and each had a piece. Kroger gummy bears are yummy. :D

Then I went back to Lauren B's and we played Rock Band til like 8pm, when I went home and ate Thanksgiving leftovers. :/ I do have to say that our homemade mashed potatoes and gravy was delicious though. I watched Legally Blonde while eating. That's just one of those movies that you can rewatch without getting bored of it, like Mean Girls.
Friday - Black Friday yo. My arms and legs were so tired after all of the shopping. 10 am - 3:30 pm. That's.. 5 and a half hours? Eh.

Dude, I actually got a pair of Express jeans for like $25. That made me so happy because Express jeans are so comfy but so expensive. As for the sexy red tinted jeans I got for $39 (no deal ):), the color to~tallyyy bled in the wash. I really hope they don't bleed off again because the whole reason I bought them was for the color. I also bought a ton of fabric for my Gothic dress that I suddenly became inspired to make (thanks Mrs. Lovett D:).
And then Saturday became another school weekend. ): Why, homework? ): ): ):
But yeah, big revelation: What do people do to hang out?? I can't remember how we all hung out without having to say we're bored. DDD: Mall? Movies? Tiffany, Linda, and I spent the longest time trying to think of something to do. ): And came up with nothing but video games. ): We suck. Help! I don't want to be stuck during wonderful winter break!

Baking Party: Sign Up
**LAST UPDATED: SAT, DEC 13
(We are really in need of mise en place items! If you think you can also bring those items, please comment!)
Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 21 at 2:30pm! We will be baking a Tres Leches cake at my house for the Christmas holidays! :]
Here is a list of things we will need and it is easier if we all bring certain things so this will be a collective effort. We will be following the Food Network recipe, link provided for those who want to take a look at what we'll be doing. I am aware that this cake is rated as difficult, but we won't be able to feel as accomplished if we make an easy cake. :D Carolyn and I decided that we didn't want to make the icing, so you may disregard that part of the recipe.
Please comment with what you think you can bring by December 13, and I will try to update frequently so that everyone can see what is taken. I would love it if each person could sign up for at least 2 things (Since Carolyn and Kathryn reside in the same house, the two of them can bring 3 things together). The things in bold are the ones needed the most, so if you think you can acquire the bolded, please sign up for that!

A lazy Christmas Eve
Well, I have a lot of things I should be doing, but I'm feeling so lazy. :| I don't really want to do anything. I'm kind of just glued to my computer screen doing nothing, which is why I'm here.
Ooh, and for my records, I found out about my acceptance into NYU's Stern on Monday!!! :]

Reflection of These Past Few Days
Saturday, December 20 - Football & More Fun
11:30 am - 2:00 pm: Football with Kenny, Micky, Caleb, Lauren B, Callie, Keli, Tim, Fang, Lisa, Livia, and Ross.
2:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Made lunch at Livia's. Ate with Livia, Callie, Lauren B, Keli, Tim, Kenny, Micky, and Caleb. Played basketball afterward. Ariel met up with us later and brought ice cream. Ate the whole half-gallon of cookies 'n cream. Went inside and played Brawl and Mario Kart. Then had a violent pillow fight, girls (Lauren B, Ariel, and me) vs. guys (Kenny, Micky, and Caleb), until the guys left.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: The girls all dressed up and spiffed up to go to Chinatown for a night out and see Max's dance performance. Went to Juicebox beforehand for some shaved ice.
9:00 pm - 10:30 pm: When we arrived at Max's performance place, the performance had ended up because it started early. D: Went to Tap House with Max to eat dinner.
10:30 pm - 12:30 am: Headed back to Livia's. Callie, Keli, Lauren B, Livia, and I ended up gossiping through the night until we all had to go home.
Sunday, December 21 - Baking Party
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Iris came over first because it was "Baking Party" day. While waiting for Carolyn and Kathryn, we all played cards and just went on the computer for a bit.
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Iris, Melinda, Carolyn, Kathryn, Linda, Tiffany, and I baked that Tres Leches.. LOL. Soap? Where are the peaks? Let's just cheat. Foam D:!
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm: All 7 of us stuffed into my Lexus and we drove to Hollywood Video to rent movies. Rented Wedding Crashers and Moulin Rouge, and I bought Sweeney Todd. :D
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: As we were about to pop in Wedding Crashers, we found John Tucker Must Die on TV, so we watched that instead. Then Click was on afterward! Haha, so much for renting.
9:00 pm - 11:00 pm: Ate the cake... There were wet and dry parts, haha. Iris, Joyce, and Angel left, so the rest of us just gossiped in the kitchen for a while until everyone decided to leave.
Monday, December 22 - Lauren B's
11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Called NYU first thing in the morning. Left a message for them to call me back.
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Was driving with Christina to Earl of Sandwich to buy lunch for the little ones when NYU called back! Cried and screamed when found out I was accepted into Stern. Texted and called practically everyone. Dropped Christina off at mall.
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Ate my lunch and then called Lauren B to plan karaoke night.
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Decided to go over to Lauren's to plan because was easier.
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Played Rock Band.
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Ate dinner with her family: roast beef, potatoes, and carrots. :D
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Made shaved ice! Were amazed at our skill.
9:00 pm - 12:00 am: Basically did random stuff: talked, watched videos. Lauren did my hair a couple of times.
Tuesday, December 23 - Karaoke Night
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Watched Wedding Crashers with Christina--> I thought it was going to be one of those full-blown comedies, so I was surprised to find that there were serious aspects to it, like real romance almost.
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Lauren B came over early. Hid the shaved ice materials for later that night. Callie brought over a surprise cookie cake for my acceptance into NYU! :)
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: The group: Lauren B, Lauren F, Callie, Keli, Max, Fang, Caleb. Ate at Barry's Pizza.
7:00 pm - 10:30 pm: Went to karaoke! Danced in the car as usual on the way there with Callie, Lauren B, and Lauren F. Caleb actually got out of the other car to kick us! D: Less energy than usual in the room. Were obnoxious teenagers on the way back home with loud music and the windows down. Womanizer womanizer woma woma womanizerrr!
10:30 pm - 12:00 am: Lauren B and I secretly tried to make shaved ice in the kitchen to surprise everyone but were caught by Caleb. :[ Everyone didn't exactly give us a big reaction to it but they enjoyed it nonetheless. We also ate Callie's cookie cake. Then we just kind of hung around my room and watched videos. We ended with an unhappy disagreement over The Things They Carried claims. ):
Then I had my uneventful Christmas Eve yesterday, haha. I watched Moulin Rouge though, and SPOILER: was kind of glad that Satine died at the end because Christian was so freakin' annoying and clingy. Don't get me wrong, I liked Satine, but I wanted her to die so that Christian would live a depressed life at the end. It's not good when you don't like the main character. :/ Ewan McGregor's and Nicole Kidman's voices are kind of... Well, let's just say, they probably weren't born singers? I love the colors and artisticness of the film though.
Tomorrow, we plan on having a sleepover at my house and have an eventful day ahead of us for earlier in the evening: play Rock Band, watch a movie, play some board games, eat some fried rice, haha. I like not doing anything productive! I really should start TTTC stuff, work on my red jacket, make my 2009 planner, make my gothic dress to not let the fabric go to waste, clean my room, and make or buy a new bag for next semester.
Reading what you want for fun is so relaxing. I'm currently reading The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie. Write more books, Jaclyn Moriarty! I haven't read for fun for the LONGESTTT time. Last time was probably 8th grade, 4 years ago. Wow. I should go browsing B&N tomorrow during its after Christmas sale. :D
I'm also too lazy to catch up on dramas. This season has practically ended and a new one's kicking off. I don't know what to do! Going to read the new synopses is too much work, and I'll end up having too much on my plate to watch. There are still freakin' dramas from 2 or 3 seasons ago that I still have left to finish. DDDD: I guess I'll start by watching dramas all tonight instead of completing the list of things I should be doing. :D

Reflection on what liking a guy does to a girl
I've basically been sewing all day and when I sew on sleeves wrong twice, it's time for a break.
Now that I don't like him anymore, I've kind of felt that void that I had thought I would have. I don't know what to do anymore. It's good that I'm over him though because liking him made me toss and turn over the stupidest, stupidest things.
I was recently told that someone likes Caleb and has liked him for a while. Of course, I must keep it a secret. Anyway, when I had my attraction for Caleb last week, Charmecia was implying that she and and that girl thought I liked him, even before I even had my attraction. Whoa. Where'd they get that from? It just happened.
I thought about it later and realized I had been hanging out with him a lot during rehearsals, but that was innocently because he was the best friend I had there. I naturally would hang around him. I don't think anyone else knew that though and just automatically suspected that I must like him. But then I realized that that girl suspected me.
Ever since I was told about her crush, I've noticed that she has been kind of distant with me, especially when I was also with Caleb. I couldn't tell her that I didn't actually like him because that would reveal that her secret was revealed to me. However, I realized I acted like her when I liked Tim. I suspected that any girl who was around him for longer than I thought was necessary (lol) probably liked him. My main suspicion for a while was Lauren B, which was not a good thing for me to do, to suspect a good friend of mine. When the two of them did stuff together and talked and stuff, I left them alone just because. I was distant. I kind of suspected her to like him. It sometimes made me feel really sad and I was just listless when I should've concentrated on more important things.
I now realize that it was all stupid and mean and unfriendly of me to suspect her because she did not like him. He was her friend so naturally, she could be talking and hanging around him if she wanted to. I can think logically now that I don't have those emotions clouding my judgment. I feel bad that I had thought such bad thoughts. I had even said a few not nice things about her behind her back to other friends about how she probably liked him and wasn't telling me wtf man. I don't like to think of myself as a person who gets jealous, but even if I wasn't exactly "jealous," I was pretty close to it.
Now I'm getting a taste of my own medicine, I think. I think that girl is probably going through the same thing, suspecting me to like Caleb and telling others about it and maybe even getting a bit depressed over it. I can't really do anything about it now, but she'll learn to get over it, when she gets over him one day. She's a really nice girl. She plays football with us and I've never found a reason to dislike her. For such a thing to come over a girl as her, ah, what liking a guy does to a girl.
I tell myself I don't have to hang around Caleb all the time at rehearsals because she will continue to have not happy thoughts about the situation concerning me for a while when there really isn't anything to worry about, but sometimes I can't help it. He's my friend, and as Lauren said, he's our favorite guy friend.
I still don't get why liking a guy is such a big deal that it makes you mad at people you wouldn't otherwise be mad at. It's not a good thing. I think you only like someone maturely when you can actually think logically when it comes to them and not be overcome by emotions. Therefore, I still have yet to learn to like someone maturely.
